Project Server (PMIS) as a PMO Framework
There are many strategies for defining a PMO. Some organizations build the PMO first and then implement software to manage it. Our strategy is to implement a project information management system (PMIS) first (such as Microsoft Project) and use it as a framework implementing a PMO. This strategy provides users with something to hold on to as they learn the principles of PMO.
